A safari that wanders off the savanna
Safari is the starting point, but the animals on this shelf come from several continents and, in one case, another planet. We sorted them by where their names, art and lobby theme lines place them; the about page explains how a title earns its spot. Springbok's lobby has no theme filter of its own, and no title in its Slots tab is named after a springbok, the animal on its logo.
The wildlife shelf by habitat (from titles, art and lobby theme lines)| Habitat | Titles | What the lobby or Springbok says |
|---|
| African bush | Big Cat Links, Lion's Lair, Meerkat Misfits, Great Golden Lion | The tiles read “African safari theme”, “Lions and the wild theme” and “Safari theme”. Great Golden Lion has no published details. |
|---|
| Plains and desert | Buffalo Mania: Thunder Springs, Buffalo Mania Deluxe, Coyote Cash, Coyote Cash 2 | Buffalo Mania Deluxe's tile says “Western theme”; Coyote Cash 2's art shows a masked coyote clutching banknotes against a desert sky. |
|---|
| Asian forest | Triple Tigers, Panda Magic | Panda Magic's tile reads “Panda wizard theme”. Triple Tigers also sits on the lunar and Asian shelf. |
|---|
| Snow and ice | Penguin Palooza, Penguin Power | Penguins by name; no details published for either. |
|---|
| Woods and jungle | Beary Wild, Bonus Wheel Jungle, Secret Jungle | Names only; Springbok has not described them. |
|---|
| Another planet | Planet Of The 'Roos | Springbok's preview describes an alien kangaroo kingdom, while the tile's own theme field says Warrior. The lobby labels the game IG. |
|---|
Penguins live by the sea, but we kept them with the animals; the ocean shelf is for mermaids, reefs and shipwrecks.
The documented animals, side by side
Specs are on file for most of this shelf, from the lobby tiles and from Springbok's own reviews and articles. The table puts the basics in one place, newest first; the full plaques follow further down.

Where the documented games differ
- Layout. The shelf runs from 20 paylines on Lion's Lair to 4,096 ways on Buffalo Mania Deluxe, and Springbok's article says Thunder Springs opens up further during its free games.
- Volatility. The documented titles split into two camps. The higher-volatility ones suit a player who accepts long gaps between returns; check the table before choosing a game for a long session.
- Jackpots. Coyote Cash 2 lists Mini, Minor, Major and Grand jackpots, and Lion's Lair's tile mentions a “Local random jackpot”. Big Cat Links is where sources disagree: its lobby tile names a Super Grand tier that Springbok's press release for the game leaves out. We never print jackpot amounts.
Hold & Spin herds and free-game stampedes
Under the fur and feathers, the documented games fall into two feature families.
Coin-collecting rounds
Coyote Cash 2, Planet Of The 'Roos and Buffalo Mania: Thunder Springs all list a Hold & Spin round, and Big Cat Links has a Fortune Link round built on a similar collect-and-respin idea. Springbok's write-ups give the trigger rules for the kangaroo and the big cats, and both are on the plaques below. For how these rounds work in general, from re-spin counters to a filled grid, see this plain guide to Hold & Spin.
Free-game rounds
Meerkat Misfits, Panda Magic and Triple Tigers lean on free games instead. Meerkat Misfits climbs through free-game stages with multiplying wilds; Panda Magic doubles wins in its free games and has a wild that can stretch over a reel, both per Springbok's review; Triple Tigers adds cascading multipliers. Coyote Cash 2 and Thunder Springs have both kinds of round, and Buffalo Mania Deluxe goes its own way: its tile lists “Major Mania, Bursting Wild, Bonus Wheel”.
Neither family is better than the other. It comes down to which round you enjoy watching, and how long you want a rand budget to last while you wait for it.
Bonus rules worth knowing on the wildlife shelf
A few details on this shelf interact with Springbok's bonus terms.
- The buffalo bet ceiling. Springbok's high-roller article lists the game's “Max bet R200”, but while any bonus is active its terms cap every bet at R100 and void winnings from larger ones. Bonus play on Thunder Springs has to stay at or under that cap.
- Double comp points. To give one example, when we read the lobby on 9 October 2026, its 2X Double Comps tab listed Olympus Thunderhold, Buffalo Mania Deluxe and Triple Tigers Lobby, checked 9 October 2026. The selection rotates, so check the tab before counting on double points from a wildlife game.
- Wagering. Every title here is a slot, so it counts towards bonus playthrough under Springbok's terms, and the welcome coupons need 30x the deposit plus the bonus.
Watching wildlife without losing track of time
A wildlife slot can feel like a game drive: you keep going because the next bend might bring the big cat. That pull is worth recognising. The lion is no more likely to appear on the next spin because the last ten spins missed it.
- Fix the session length before you start, the way a park sets its gate times.
- Choose one or two titles and give them your budget, rather than hopping across the whole shelf.
- Use practice play to see a feature before staking. Springbok says logged-out players get a one-off R1,000 practice (fun-money) balance that does not renew Springbok says, checked 9 October 2026.
- Stop when the amount is gone, and do not top up to chase a feature.
